Cookie policy
The only cookies on this site are Google Analytics cookies, and they are set only if you press Accept analytics. Without that, nothing is stored apart from your choice itself and any places you save with the star. Last updated 4 November 2026.
The detail
Google Analytics (only after you accept): the cookies _ga and _ga_* tell visits apart so we can count them and see which forecasts people use. They last up to two years. Google acts as our processor and the data is not used for advertising.
Your choice: we keep whether you accepted or rejected in your browser’s local storage (lrw-analytics-consent), so the question is not asked on every page. It never leaves your device. Change it at any time with Cookie settings at the foot of every page.
Your places: places you save with the star are kept in local storage (lrw-places) so they are on the home page next time. Nothing is saved unless you press the star, and it never leaves your device.
Map tiles from OpenFreeMap and satellite images from NASA are loaded as ordinary image requests on the map pages; we have not asked those services to set cookies, and they do not need any to work.
