Weekend weather: questions
How do you pick the better day?
From fixed rules: a day scores higher for warmth and lower for rain amount, rain chance and gusts over 20 mph. Every page uses the same rule, so two pages never pick different days.
Why does the weekend forecast change during the week?
Five or six days ahead, the model runs still disagree about where rain bands and areas of high pressure will sit. The confidence column shows how much they agree today; by Thursday the picture is usually much firmer.
