Where does this UK forecast come from?
From Open-Meteo, which blends the best available weather models for each place, including the Met Office UK model for the first days and ECMWF beyond. We do not edit the numbers; the sentences are written from them by fixed rules.
Why do the north and south differ so much?
Most UK weather arrives from the Atlantic, and fronts usually reach Scotland and Northern Ireland first, while the south-east sits furthest from the ocean. So the north-west is often wetter and windier while the south-east is warmer and drier.
How often is the forecast updated?
The data refreshes every hour. Each table shows the time the numbers were produced.
